The tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) present in cannabis is the primary psychoactive element that causes the feeling of “high” associated with marijuana. However, CBD is not psychoactive. This makes CBD an interesting and attractive option for those who want to find relief from pain without altering the mind.

CBD oil is extracted from the cannabis plant and diluted with a carrier oil. Scientific research strongly supports the argument that it helps to ease symptoms like anxiety and chronic pain.

1. Guacamole

Mexican cuisine is known for its flavorful condiments, and guacamole is one of the best discoveries of the region. It adds flavor to any dish and a perfect way to add CBD oil. Guacamole is vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium ripe avocados, peeled, halved, and seeded
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • ½ medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 small tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
  • ½ jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 mL of CBD Oil

Instructions:

Mash the avocados in a bowl. Add cumin, salt, cilantro, cayenne powder, jalapeno, onion, tomatoes, and lime juice. Add CBD oil in the end and stir to prepare a great mixture. Before you eat, cover the bowl and let the guacamole sit for 2 hours.

2. Summer Salad

This summer salad is perfect for those warm days where we crave fresh veggies and fruits. Since I love to enjoy summer with my family in the sun, this recipe is effortless (and saves time in the kitchen). Where’s the CBD fit in here? Well, you can use CBD isolate powder for delicious salad dressing!

Ingredients:

For Salad:

  • 4 cups arugula
  • ½ medium watermelon, cubed
  • 2-3 small-sized apricots, sliced into sixths
  • ¼ red onion, chopped
  • A handful of mint leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Feta cheese

For dressing:

  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil (cold-pressed)
  • 0.25 grams 99% pure CBD isolate powder
  • Himalayan salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Take sliced apricots, lightly cover them with olive oil and place them in a preheated grill pan.
  • Caramelize the apricots and keep them aside.
  • Dice watermelon and onion and keep it aside.
  • For the dressing, mix balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil with CBD isolate powder. Add salt and pepper and whisk it until the flavors blend in.
  • In a salad bowl, add arugula, red onion, mint, and mix desired dressing in the bowl and toss well.
  • Serve your salad with cubed watermelons, grilled apricots, and a dollop of feta cheese. In the end, season with salt and pepper.

3. Slow Cooker Mozzarella-Stuffed CBD Meatballs

This one is one of our favorite comfort food dishes. This hearty dish is loaded with mozzarella and beef to satisfy any meat lover – plus the added benefits of CBD. It will please your tummies and taste buds while delivering the right protein and other health benefits.

Ingredients:

For Sauce:

  • 7 cups tomato pulp
  • ⅓ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt

For Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ⅓ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 mozzarella cheese sticks, divided into 4-5 even pieces

Instructions:

  • In a slow cooker, place all the sauce ingredients and stir until everything is mixed.
  • Set the slow cooker to high for 30 minutes
  • In a large bowl, mix all the meatball ingredients except the mozzarella. Combine all the ingredients to form a thick mass like pizza dough and add a dash of CBD oil.
  • Take a golf ball-sized piece of the meatball mixture and put a piece of mozzarella in the center.
  • Press the mixture together until the mozzarella is fully enclosed.
  • Add the meatballs in the slow cooker and mix it in the sauce. Continue cooking on high mode for up to 2 hours.

4. Chocolate Brownie

One dessert to add to your table is one of our favorites, Chocolate Brownies. You can make a batch of brownies and have them as you like. I add CBD isolate in my ice cream, banana pie, and chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons salted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup melted milk chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions:

  • Before you start your process, pre-heat oven to 3500 F for 10 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add melted butter, CBD oil, and sugar. Whisk them by hand until you see a smooth mixture.
  • Add in vanilla extract, eggs, and melted chocolate. Whisk 1 minute.
  • Sift flour and cocoa powder. Combine both with salt and mix it with the melted butter mixture and mix them using a rubber spatula. Add chocolate chips in the end.
  • Line a metal pan with a parchment paper. Pour all mixture in the pan and smooth out.
  • Bake the brownie in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.

5. Chocolate Latte

Skip your coffee of the day and enjoy some CBD-infused chocolate latte. It adds the goodness of milk, the richness of cocoa powder, and a generous amount of CBD oil for a warm pleasure.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened milk (you can use plant-based milk if you want)
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of Himalayan salt
  • Your favorite flavorings (e.g., mint, cinnamon, cayenne, culinary lavender, or rose water)
  • 1 full dropper of CBD oil

Instructions:

  • In a small pot, mix all the ingredients.
  • On medium heat, bring the mix to simmer and keep whisking to avoid lumps.
  • Once done, remove from the heat and add CBD oil in the end.

Before you cook anything with CBD, make sure you buy high-quality CBD oil. Understand how your body is reacting to CBD, and in the beginning, add only a dash of CBD in the recipes. CBD adds extra zest to your food. Add them in your smoothie, salad dressings, or dessert.
